It’s an interesting story as a Halo fan in that it explores other aspects of the universe, but it doesn’t offer compelling revelations or necessary information for the main Halo storyline. At the head is Atriox, a Brute known for his extensive cruelty, and you and your army are tasked with finding him and shutting him down. The crew of the Spirit of Fire emerges from cryosleep and is now taking on a rogue Brute faction called the Banished, rather than the Covenant. Halo Wars 2 takes place nearly three decades after the first Halo Wars and chronologically after Halo 5. But ultimately, this is a very light RTS experience geared toward Halo veterans, not a robust strategy game, and it runs out of steam quickly. It adapts Halo’s FPS roots well, taking the series’ classic missions and reformatting them in ways that make sense for a strategy game without sacrificing accessibility. The promethean knights and so on didn't show up until Halo 4.Halo Wars 2 lies somewhere in between an RTS game for Halo fans and a Halo game for RTS fans. I would say they are much more iconic than the forerunners. You hear even more from them in the books. They are one of the races from the Covenant, a rival to the Elites(I hope you know what an Elite is) who actually take over the Elites' role in the Covenant as seen in Halo 2 and they are the main leader force for the Covenant in Halo 3: ODST and Halo 3. It has to be something iconic, like the forerunners, instead of some ape warrior race thingy, it's not a good idea to add something like that, it would just -Yoink- up the whole Halo universe. Are you familiar with the whole Halo Universe? Or even a part of it? Did you play Halo Wars? Brutes have been a big part of the whole universe. Anyways, have you seen that wierd ape-like creature in the trailer, what is it? I sincerly won't like a completely new faction. What do you guys think?Adding forerunners would be nice.

From the likely timeline of the game Prometheans would probably have to be an online only faction to play as. I'm thinking along the lines of Flood and Prometheans. Quote:In the original we could play both UNSC and Covenant which was great but this time I want more factions to keep gameplay interesting.
